What are the benefits of using a 24V LiFePO4 battery over other types?

LiFePO4 lithium batteries offer a longer lifespan, lighter weight, faster charging, and higher efficiency than traditional lead-acid batteries. They’re maintenance-free and provide a consistent power output.

What should you do when you receive a new battery?

When you receive your battery, it may have a low state of charge (SOC) due to transportation and storage. To ensure optimal performance, please charge the battery immediately to prevent over-discharge.

Batteries with Bluetooth functionality may arrive in an off state, indicating a terminal voltage between 3V and 5V, which means you won’t be able to connect them to your phone. They are shipped powered off, similar to mobile phones, to reduce self-discharge and extend battery life.

To resolve this, you can use either an AC-DC lithium battery charger or an MPPT solar charge controller. Simply charge the battery for 3 to 10 seconds, and it will be ready for normal use.

If you plan to store the battery for an extended period, charge it to a SOC of 50% and conduct maintenance every three months to help preserve its functionality and performance.

How many cycles can I expect from a 24V LiFePO4 battery?

LiTime's 24V LiFePO4 batteries are rated for up to 4,000 cycles at 100% depth of discharge, providing an expected lifespan of approximately 10 years with regular use.

Are 24V LiFePO4 batteries suitable for RVs and marine applications?

Absolutely! These batteries are an excellent choice for RVs and marine use due to their durability, safety, and ability to deliver consistent power without the risk of spillage or ongoing maintenance.

Can I connect multiple 24V LiFePO4 batteries together?

Yes, you can connect these batteries in series and parallel to increase capacity. All LiTime 24V batteries can be configured in a maximum of 4P2S.

Note: When connecting batteries in series or parallel, ensure they meet the following criteria:

  • They should be identical batteries with the same capacity (Ah) and battery management system (BMS) rating (A).
  • They must be from the same brand, as lithium batteries from different brands have distinct BMS configurations.
  • They should be purchased within a close timeframe (ideally within one month).
