My pontoon boat used 10 6v deep cycle lead acid batteries plus a 12v accessory battery. They weighted over 600 pounds not including the extra batter in the front to help balance the boat. Thanks to the sealed batteries, I was able to replace all batteries with 6 OBM Lithium Marine batteries for greater than 500 pound less weight. As I could mount these batteries closer, I was able to keep the batteries close together in an inside compartment right next to the main 60V elecric outboard motor. This made a better connection. The bottom line is that I get better performance with a 500 pound decrease in boat weight. I also appreciate the bluetooth connectivity for each battery so I can see how the batteries are performing. It was a great decision to make this change.
